Wednesday Nights Are Coming Soon!

Wednesday Nights at University will resume the evening of September 6th. Like last year, there will be dinner followed by programming for all ages. We will also be introducing a new series called "The Lies That Bind."
In this series, we will explore common beliefs often obtained from childhood, confront their origin, and discuss how they affect our lives today. As children we think in absolutes: right vs. wrong, kind vs. mean, fact vs. fiction, and of course, truth vs. lies. But, as we grow in age and maturity, we begin to notice that there is much more nuance in life.
All adults who choose to participate will begin with an introduction to the night’s topic in the Sanctuary with Pastor Ben. We’ll then break out into smaller groups for discussion. Those who wish to confront the lies and examine the truth together through the lens of parenting will gather in the John Wesley room with Pastor Sarah Dennis and Amy Tullos. All others will gather in The Loft for small group discussion led by Pastor Reed.
What’s unique about this series is that all ages, Kinder through adults, will be discussing the same topic each week. Kids and Students will be led in
discussion appropriate to their development and life stage. These topics are designed to encourage thought provoking discussion from all members of a family or community group. We hope you will join us in participating in this unique opportunity.
Preschoolers will be led by Pastor Holly Wilson in our new Chapel of the Good Shepherd during their programing time. To learn more about this exciting addition in the spiritual formation of our youngest children, listen to Pastor Holly’s most recent sermon.
