Foster Care and Adoption Fair

Representatives from Providence Place and Methodist Children’s Home will provide information on adoption, foster care, and fostering to adopt.

Providence Place is a licensed child-placement agency in San Antonio, Texas and their adoption services are available to couples wanting to expand their family in the state of Texas. The experienced adoption counselors are committed to helping adoptive families — like you — fulfill their dream of parenthood and find the best approach to adoption for their family. Providence Place believes each adoption is unique and their counselors will adapt to your family’s needs.  Providence Place offers several options for families interested in adoption:  Infant, older child, international, and embryo adoption.

Methodist Children's Home offers family preservation services and foster care through MCH Family Outreach. A variety of services designed to help children and their families is provided through outreach offices in Abilene, Corpus Christi, Dallas, El Paso, Houston, Lubbock, North Richland Hills, San Antonio, Tyler, Waco, and Albuquerque, N.M. Foster care is offered in Abilene, Dallas, Houston, Tyler and San Antonio.  Foster care enables families to open their hearts and homes to children who cannot live with their parents due to family circumstances. Foster families can make a positive, lifelong impact on children as they help them grow physically, spiritually, emotionally and intellectually. Foster care provides a temporary living arrangement – typically ranging from 6 to 18 months – until the parents are able to resume parenting. Children in care range from birth through 17 years of age. Very few babies or children have special needs, such as medication or counseling.

Please RSVP to Richard Holt (richard@theu.org) if you are interested in attending. The Fair will be held in room N206/7 (Labyrinth Room) on the second floor of the North Campus from 12:15 to 2:00pm.  A light lunch and drinks will be provided.
