Twelve Days of Prayer Day 11

Pray for Adults (household and family trials)

In the community where I grew up, the majority of households were a married Father and Mother with one or more biological children. Today this type of household is just one of many possibilities. An Adult household may be a single parent, a multi-generational family, an unmarried couple with or without children, an individual living alone, foster parents, a blended family, or a group of friends sharing a house. This is just a few of the possibilities. With all the combinations of households, there will be common trials among them but there will also be extra challenges that are faced by one group and not another.

The Apostle Paul in his letter to the Ephesians talks about the way people should live and relate in life. Ephesians 5:1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children, and live in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

Today we are praying for all the Adult households and their trials. Please pray with me in asking God to make His presence known in the hearts of these adults as they struggle to balance whatever makes up their life, to strengthen them to handle whatever trial they may face, to help them find support and a connection within their church community, and to reassure them they are His children and worthy of His love.
