The annual February eye surgery trip to Camanchaj is now just six months away, and it is time to start getting organized. The second team meeting will be Sunday, November 13th at 12:15pm in the 3rd floor Loft (room S311) of the South Campus at The U. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us. A light lunch will be served. Any volunteers to bring food can contact Susan Graybill.
The dates of the mission trip will be Saturday, February 11, 2012 to Sunday, February 19th ; the optional two-day extension in Antigua (return February 21) will entail an extra charge. We hope to keep the basic cost in the same range as last year: $25 application fee, airfare (last year it was around $825) and ground costs (last year $875) for a total of $1725. However, we are still gathering information, which we will share with you at the meeting.
We hope to see recent participants at this first meeting as well as some who have not been able to go in the last couple of years. Of course, if some of you know new people who may be interested, please bring them along.
